14 Day Journaling Plan with Bible Verses Relating to Anxiety

If you would like to extend your knowledge and study some Bible verses to help combat anxiety, you are invited to try this 14-Day Journaling Plan.  Simply copy the Bible verses, pray about them, and write what comes to mind in a journal.  You might want to write the verses on a note card each day, and put it somewhere where you can see it throughout the day.  Spending time studying the Bible and praying has strengthened my relationship with the Lord, and this has greatly helped me manage anxiety.  I hope this will be a meaningful exercise for you, and that you will be blessed as you study and pray!

Day 1:                    6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and

petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  7  And the peace

of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your

minds in Christ Jesus.  – Phillipians 4:6-7

Day 2:                    Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7

Day 3:                    “Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink;

or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more than food, and the

body more than clothes?  26  Look at the birds of the air; they do not reap or

store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not

much more valuable than they?  27  Can any one of you by worrying add a

single hour to your life?” – Matthew 6:25-27

Day 4:                   “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about

itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34

Day 5:                    “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this

world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.” –

                                    John 16:33

Day 6:                    “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous

                                    right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

Day 7:                    “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the

world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and so not be afraid.” –

                                    John 14:27

Day 8:                    “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be

afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you

wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

Day 9:                    Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own

understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your

                                    paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6

Day 10:                 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe

                                    pasture. – Psalm 37:3

Day 11:                 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let

the righteous be shaken. – Psalm 55:22

Day 12:                 28  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you

rest. 29  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and

humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30  For my yoke is

easy and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

Day 13:                 Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. –

                                    Proverbs 12:25

Day 14:                 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell

                              in safety. – Psalm 4:8
